The Tarot: An Unlikely
* Thursday, Nov. 16, 7-9pm - Beth Lasch – The Tarot: An Unlikely Wellness Tool
Learn to read the Tarot with Beth Lasch.
There are many ideas about where Tarot cards come from, what they
mean, and how a deck of cards can possibly tell you anything about yourself.
The cards act as a tool to bring forth insights from within yourself.
The Tarot is a process, designed to put you in contact with your own deeper
truths. It aids in gathering perspective, setting out a new thought-path.
You decide whether to act on it. You don't have to be “psychic” to use the
cards, and anyone can gain useful knowledge and fascinating insight on
questions, big and small, that come up in daily life. Join us as Beth Lasch
shows you how. She will cover a brief history of the Tarot, a
demonstration, a few pointers on types of readings you can try, and a chance
to practice how to interpret for yourself. If you can, bring your own deck
so you can do your own reading during the workshop. The “Rider Waite Smith
Tarot Deck” is considered to be the classic deck and is recommended for this
workshop and for general use, but all decks are welcome. Or feel free try
some of the unusual decks from Beth’s personal collection.
Tea & freshly baked scones will be
served in the Blue Room of The White House in Oakhurst.
per lecture if prepaid (all included); $25 at the door (if space allows).
